Shearwater Zambezi Night Game Drive We had a fun and interesting night game drive hosted by Shearwater Tours. There were two of us, and two guides (Tom and Ashley). We had very personalized experience and got to cruise through the park with very few other jeeps. Our guides were extremely knowledgeable and provide constant insights about the animals we observed. We explored the western area of the park. One of the highlights was a pair of watering holes that had clusters of elephants. Another highlight was a spotted hyena puppy resting outside the den. Our drive started a few hours before dusk, and as the sun set, we made our way back out. We used lights to scan for eye reflections from nocturnal wildlife. One of the highlights of this portion of the drive was the adult hyenas. They had emerged from the den we saw earlier, and we witnessed them stalking about. On the way back to Victoria Falls where we were staying, we stopped to have dinner at Elephant Crew sanctuary. It was a great meal, and we learned about this fantastic conservation effort. We were leaving Victoria Falls in the morning, and unfortunately could not return for a full visit of their facility. Shearwater provided a great experience, and I would recommend trying to book a drive with Tom and/or Ashley if you can. - Brian
